Sweepstakes Casino Rivals Will Race Against One Another in Daytona 500
This year's Daytona 500 will see Modo Casino race with Chumba, a competing online sweepstakes casino.
This week, Spire Motorsports and Michael McDowell's No. 71 car announced an expanded cooperation with Modo, an online sweepstakes platform owned and run by ARB Interactive. Last August, Modo and Spire announced their cooperation, which included using Carson Hocevar's No. 77 car for four 2025 races.
Modo Casino will be the main sponsor of McDowell's No. 71 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 as part of the sweepstakes casino and NASCAR team's 2026 agreement.
"Building on the energy we generated in 2025, we are thrilled to significantly expand our footprint with Spire Motorsports for the 2026 season,” said David Jumper, ARB Interactive’s chief marketing officer. “Seeing our branding on Carson Hocevar’s car for four races last year was just the beginning; moving into 2026, we are proud to support multiple drivers across the Cup Series, from the iconic Daytona 500 to the finale in our hometown of Miami.”

Sweepstakes Casinos Are Accepted by NASCAR
Online slot machines, table games, and live dealer options are all available to gamers at online sweepstakes casinos. Critics argue that the platforms' dual-currency setups effectively permit unregulated, state-lawbreaking real money online gambling, despite their claims to be free-to-play social gaming websites and applications.
The legal gaming sector, represented by the Indian Gaming Association and the American Gaming Association, as well as state attorneys general and gaming regulators contend that sweepstakes casinos are unlawful gambling establishments. Many states have issued cease and desist orders to sweepstakes casinos, and a few of states have enacted legislation outright prohibiting dual-currency sweepstakes programs.
NASCAR permits its teams to collaborate with the top sites in spite of the general criticism.
23XI and Chumba Racing
The revelation from Modo Casino this week comes after Chumba Casino extended its collaboration with Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin's 23XI Racing last month. Tyler Reddick's No. 45 Toyota XSE at the Daytona 500 is sporting a casino wrap that is part of the Chumba contract.
For the first time, an online sweepstakes casino will be prominently featured on not just one, but two cars at the 68th Daytona 500, also known as The Great American Race, on February 15.
Daytona 500 cars have previously been sponsored by DraftKings Sportsbook and Fanatics Sportsbooks. Additionally, Daytona International Speedway has Hard Rock Bet as an official partner.
